Ozone Run

The Ozone Run is one of SWAN’s most impactful flagship events, conducted annually to raise awareness about environmental protection and healthy living. This run symbolizes a powerful call to action for climate responsibility and sustainable habits.
It also serves as the stage for the Climate Action Ambassador Awards, organized in collaboration with the British Deputy High Commission of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. These awards honor individuals who inspire change through eco-conscious lifestyles:

  • Silver Mention: For influencing 25+ people

  • Gold Mention: For influencing 50+ people
Through these recognitions, SWAN celebrates changemakers who actively lead by example—conserving water, reducing waste, and promoting greener ways of living.

Meedikunta Lake Revival

What was once a dying, polluted water body is now a thriving urban lake, thanks to SWAN’s relentless efforts and community involvement. The Meedikunta Lake Revival stands as a shining example of environmental restoration and civic participation.
SWAN mobilized volunteers, residents, and partners to clean, restore, and re-green the area. This effort improved not just biodiversity and groundwater levels, but also the quality of life for the surrounding neighborhoods.
In fact, MLA Arekapudi Gandhi praised the initiative, stating that SWAN’s efforts increased nearby residents’ lifespan by 10 years.
To honor those who contributed selflessly to this remarkable transformation, SWAN initiated the Good Samaritan Awards—recognizing individuals, communities, and organizations that showed unwavering commitment to sustainability and civic responsibility.

Eco-Friendly Drives

SWAN promotes eco-conscious living through a series of community-led drives focused on long-term impact:

  • Tree Plantations to enhance urban greenery and improve air quality.

  • Community Cleanup Drives to encourage civic responsibility and beautify neighborhoods.

  • Lake Clean-up Drives that help restore natural water bodies to their original health.

  • 60,000 Petitions submitted to the government urging better hygiene and maintenance of Hyderabad roads—demonstrating public will for cleaner, healthier urban environments.

  • SWAN also gifted a walking bridge to society, developed in partnership with student volunteers, as a symbol of accessibility, sustainability, and collective responsibility.

Each of these eco-friendly initiatives is a step forward in shaping a cleaner, greener, and more conscious future.
